Alvin was orphaned on May 31, 2006. Too young to even open his eyes, nevermind eat on his own, he found his way to our home. After nursing with puppy formula for 3 weeks every few hours, Alvin finally opened his eyes to see his adoptive parents for the first time. After continued nursing and the intruduction of new foods, he has since grown to be a very active squirrel who loves and has a preference for all fresh foods including apples, blueberries, grapes, brocoli, peas and carrots as well as some nuts, especially almonds. He lives in an oak cage 6'x4'x3' but also has run of the house every evening. He loves to give and receive hugs and is so good natured, playful and spunky and is a welcomed addition to our family.
